Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and musician from England. He was one of the members of One Direction. Born at Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England 1 February 1994, he is the son Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school where together with three students, he created his group musical, White Eskimo. The group was part of the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they were winners. Though he's been attracted to music, he was also hoping to be an attorney or physical therapist. For a while he worked for a short time in a bakeshop in the city he lived in with the aim of helping economically at home. For the year 2010 Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he sang Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. The reason for this was that his band broke up. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they'd be forming an ensemble called One Direction after the X Factor audition. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group. They were first formed in 2010. The group sang songs such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls for the prize. The group was however placed third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles did not receive any cash prize. However, Cowell made a deal worth 2 million pounds to One Direction in order for them to join Syco Records.
