Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, raised in Wellington) is the name of a Canadian actor from Canada. Paquin is a native of Canada and New Zealand actress. Born in Winnipeg however, she was raised in Wellington She was the first actress to appear on screen in The Piano. In this romantic drama, she was 11 years old, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. Anna Paquin's full title is Anna Helene Paquin. Born July 24th 1982 on the 24th of July 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was the first Canadian birthed New Zealand actress. As an infant, she won an Academy Award for best support actress. Her role as the enthusiastic and lively young girl Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) was the reason she won the honor. She portrayed teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) and Almost Famous (2000). She also portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
