Paula Patton, an American producer and actress, is known for her roles as the main character in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol (an action-spy thriller) and Precious (a drama). As a child living in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, Patton had many desires. Instilling a passion for film in her daughter was something that she learned from her mother who was also a fan of movies. Paula loved participating in school co-curriculars and drama was her favorite. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends, and she participated in school stage performances. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School's Hamilton Magnet Arts High School was the scene of many school plays. She made the decision to train as an actor. She went to the University of Southern California for a Summer Program and loved it. The program awarded her a 3-month contract making documentaries for PBS. She started her career as a television production assistant following the completion of this task. Later, she was able to produce documentaries. Although she enjoyed the work she was doing, she yearned for acting roles. The path to acting began when she had minor roles with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she has played in numerous popular films and television shows.
