Amal Clooney

Amal Alamuddin Clooney was born in Beirut, Lebanon. The name she was given was the Arabic name'ml-amal, meaning "hope". She was only two when her family moved from Lebanon to Buckinghamshire from Lebanon during the Lebanese Civil War. (10) Her father Ramzi Alamuddin, a Lebanese Druze of the Alam al-Din dynasty village of Baakline in the Chouf Districtand received an MBA diploma from the American University of Beirut. In 1991, he returned Lebanon in 1991[12][13] after his country's civil war. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She was a political journalist and foreign editor for the Saudi-owned newspaper al-Hayat. She was the founder of the PR company International Communication Experts. This company is a component of a larger company that is specialized in booking famous people photographers, publicity as well as event promotion. Amal was born in Philippines. She has two brothers and a sister. Amal was educated at Dr Challoner's high school located in Little Chalfont Buckinghamshire before going to university. In the following years, she was a student at St Hugh's College at Oxford where, among other things she received the Shrigley Award and an exhibition grant. She received the degree of Master of Arts in Judiciary (BA), in 2000. She then enrolled at New York University School of Law to pursue the Master of Laws degree (LL.M).
